Just got back from our concert!

wow oh wow did wind ensemble sound awesome! I'm am in total awe! The bassoons had solos (Victoria you sounded amazing) and so did the oboes (Elizebethh!!) Everyone just sounded amazing. I was in so much awe after the concert Haley had to slap me (and she didn't hold back....ouchhh).

Well it's late and I really need to go to bed...I'm sooo tired...

Oh duh! I almost forgot!! Yea we sounded good too....lol.

No really, our dynamics were very good! I love how dark sounding Toccatta is. The acousics in the auditorium are amazing. Prelude and Toccatta sounded really good too! The dynamics in the march were just ok. we could have done better....but it did sound really good...but the question remains....

So the last game of the marching band season has come and gone. Man that was amazing.

I felt really good about the performence, individually and as a whole. It's really cool, it's like I felt a kinda of pride when I began to march onto the field. I guess that's what made me really push myself. I mean, I think I always have good marching style and my flute angle is pretty good too. I mean today though...I mean my shins were burning after the half time show and my back hurt from trying to stand so straight. It was so cool.

Haley, Soo Young and I all cried. lol...it's funny...we were all crying and the seniors weren't...we're such losers lol  It's just after the half time show, it kinda hit me that It'll be my last game one day. I mean, I absolutely love marching and and could never think of giving it up.

YEAH NEUQUA VALLEY MARCHING BAND!!

So U of I was yesterday. We all went expecting to just have a good time and maybe win one award...maybe.

Just so you know...a band, Prospect High School, has won first place on overall performence for 23 year; they've also placed in the top for every award you can win in the AA division. They practice year round and their band members are required to try out.

After our performence, we changed out of our uniforms and went up and sat in the stands to watch the rest of the bands, and the the awards ceremony. Everyone knew that prospect would win first in everything....as usual.

They started by announcing awards for a parade competition they heald earlier (we didn't participate in that). After that they started the awards for our half time shows. No surprise...Prospect was accepting 1st place awards left and right.

The started announcing the drum major award, starting with class C/D (FYI...classes are determined by the size of your band, we are AA, the biggest class you can get in). Then they got to AA. As usual, they announced 3rd place first. Then, "Placing in 2nd in class AA.....Prospect High School!" We were all in shock. Who could have beaten them and taken 1st? "Placing in 1st place in class AA.......Nuequa Valley High School!" EVERYONE JUMPED UP AND SCREAMED!! We went CRAZY! Gene and BC and I had a goup hug thing (lol) and we were just screaming our heads off. Everyone was cheering for Becca and Sean as they were accepting their award. It was amazing.

Later in the award ceremony, we also won 3rd place for our percussion section, and 3rd place for our overall performence. Everyone was in total shock. It was just amazing.

Well I need to do some hw then lacrosse....wish me luck!!

yea hc was crazy! everyone says that it's really not all that fun...I thought it was a blast! I'm not really the type that dances (ok...so I don't dance at all...only when a group of people do "The Shower" and "The Lawnmower" etc.) [why i love dancing with elizabeth!!]

Everyone looked soo pretty in their dresses! The guys looked so good in thier suits  +-+-+

Afterwards bonnie and I slep over haley's house. It was so crazy!!

haley was hacing laughing attacks, the recorder wants bonnie, I found the pimp hat...the dress shoes, the bakini top and lamb towel..."The One Where"...

wow that was amazing...because we at so many pixi stix and ruffles annndd oreos, twizzlers, doritos and what not...we were up till 8:30 am! (well bonnie and haley fell asleep at 6:30 am) we all slept in till a little before 2 in the afternoon lol

well I need to play some ddr and work off all thoes calories then shower lol
